Polpharma API to support Celon Pharma’s ADC development program with GMP payload–linker manufacturing

Polpharma API has been selected by Celon Pharma to provide development and manufacturing services for a payload–linker compound supporting Celon Pharma's ADC development program, according to a press release from Polpharma API.

Celon Pharma is leading the development of the innovative oncology therapy based on its own intellectual property, while Polpharma API contributes its high-potency manufacturing expertise and well-established GMP technology platform designed to support complex, high-containment manufacturing projects.

Payload–linker manufacturing for ADC development

Under the awarded scope, Polpharma API will scale-up and manufacture a payload–linker (PL) compound under GMP conditions.

This represents:

  • A payload–linker manufacturing project for ADC development

  • A milestone in expanding Polpharma API's high-potency capabilities for advanced oncology modalities

  • A step toward building partnership and integrated ADC capabilities in Poland

Leveraging high-potency, state-of-the-art technologies

The compound consists of a linker conjugated with the highly potent payload MMAE, requiring specialized infrastructure and controlled handling.

The project demonstrates Polpharma API's ability to safely handle highly potent compounds and support complex, technologically demanding projects.

Advancing innovative oncology therapies

Following conjugation with a specific monoclonal antibody, the material will be used in Phase I clinical trials.

The therapy is being developed for:

  • Immunomodulatory and cytotoxic effects

  • Treatment of solid tumours

Through this collaboration, Polpharma API supports Celon Pharma's next-generation targeted cancer therapy and strengthens its position in CDMO, HPAPI, and ADC-related manufacturing.
